NETANYAHU TURNS TO THE BIBLE IN POWERFUL UN SPEECH
Later this year Benjamin Netanyahu will become the longest serving Israeli Prime Minister in history. Over the years Netanyahu has woven Biblical truth into his political messages, showing he has a strong grasp of the plans and purposes God has for Israel and the threats against the Jewish state.
Famously, at the beginning of the school year, Netanyahu gave a message to Israeli school children, “First of all, the study of the Bible,” he said. “This is the basis for why we are here, why we have returned here, why we stay here.”
Israel’s history, heritage and right to exist are rooted in God’s Word, and it is this message that he brought to world leaders gathered at the United Nations General
Assembly in September – and it was exactly the message they needed to hear.
Bible truth counters UNESCO lies
During his speech, Netanyahu challenged the UN body for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) for their revision of history, saying: “In July, UNESCO voted on a Palestinian led resolution which declared the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron as a Palestinian World Heritage site.”
“That’s worse than fake news,” Netanyahu said. “That’s fake history.”
“Mind you, it’s true that Abraham, the father of both Ishmael and Isaac, is buried there, but so too are Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca – Sarah is a Jewish name, by the way – and
