Palestinian National Anthem
Chorus:
martyr, martyr, martyr,
Oh my land, the land of the ancestors
martyr, martyr, martyr,
Oh my people, people of eternity
Verse 1:
With my determination, my fire and
the volcano of my vendetta
With the longing in my blood for my
land and my home
I have climbed the mountains and
fought the wars
I have conquered the impossible, and
crossed the frontiers
Verse 2:
With the resolve of the winds and the
fire of the weapons
And the determination of my nation
in the land of struggle
Palestine is my home, and the path of
my triumphal
Palestine is my vendetta and the land
of withstanding
Verse 3:
By the oath under the shade of the
flag
By my land and nation, and the fire of
pain
I will live as a martyr, I will remain a
martyr,
I will die as a martyr – until my
country returns
As Christians, we believe that this
Light is ultimately Jesus, who came to
the world through the Jewish people. But
there are many other examples of Israel
being a blessing to the nations, and even
as the whole world turns against it, Israel
continues to innovate and adapt, advancing
medicine, science, agriculture, and at
every opportunity seeking peace with its
neighbours.
This is because Israel’s existence is
righteous. God ordained Israel into being.
God promised the Land to the Jewish
people. God placed their desire to dwell
in the Land into their hearts, and God
promised not only to regather them after
exile, but to defend them once they were
re-established.
Israel is blessed by God, and it shows. It
is a light to the nations because of God’s
goodness.
Jewish culture revolves around the
promises of God and the Land of Israel. In
fact, Judaism cannot function without the
Land. They are intrinsically linked; and this
theme is shown within the national anthem
of Israel.
The Israeli national anthem is called
Hatikva, or “The Hope”.
Here is the lyrics (translated into
English):
Israeli National Anthem
As long as the Jewish spirit is yearning
deep in the heart,
With eyes turned toward the East,
looking toward Zion,
Then our hope – the two-thousand-
year-old hope – will not be lost:
To be a free people in our land,
The land of Zion and Jerusalem.
This is an anti-Israel, pro-Jihad song that
is now being proudly played in Britain. It
is a terror anthem for a terror state that
glorifies martyrs as national heroes – and it
now occupies a piece of British soil.
Beautiful! The national anthem of Israel
