Introduction
Welcome to Christians United for Israel UK’s thirteenth issue of the Torch magazine.
In this issue we give a voice to Israelis living on the Israel-Gaza border, who for too long have experienced rocket attacks targeting their homes and lives. Yet, their stories tell
of unbelievable courage and resilience. The international media is virtually silent on this issue when covering the attacks, choosing instead to highlight Israel’s (legitimate) counter-attacks on terror targets. They also ignore the important differential in that whilst Hamas deliberately targets innocent civilian homes and kindergartens, Israel in defence only targets strategic terrorist sites to reduce the terror group’s capabilities.
These events remind us that the need to stand with Israel is as important as ever. You will
be encouraged to read of the US recognition of Golan Heights; we explain why this land is not only rightfully Israel’s but is so important to its defence. We also honour how Christian support for Israel is changing the political and spiritual landscape in Brazil.
We need this same boldness and moral clarity here in the UK. It begins with proclaiming the truth, which is why we believe this magazine is so important for these times. We hope you enjoy and will feel led to share with others.
Thank you for your continued support for CUFI UK.
