The US-Israel relationship has been special from the begin- ning. From the founding of our country, when the Framers decided to build a new nation on the Judeo-Christian values of the Bible, America has been a safe haven for Jews who have been violently persecuted everywhere else in the world. American Christians were among the earliest believers in Zionism, based on their belief in the Bible as the Word of God.
