Remembering
Charlie Kirk
A friend of
Israel and a
defender of
the faith
T
he assassination of Charlie Kirk
sent shockwaves around the
world. He was a man who lived
unashamedly in defence of truth,
faith, and freedom. A person who
was known simply for talking and
debating people with different ideas,
often winning the respect of those he
disagreed with.
As the founder of Turning Point, he
inspired not only young Americans but
also audiences across the world to reject
lies, particularly from the woke Left which
has infected educational institutions and
instead embrace the timeless values that
built the West, values rooted in our Judeo-
Christian traditions. Although his focus
was mainly on America, his voice carried
weight on both sides of the Atlantic.
Charlie was never shy about his
convictions. He often declared that
civilisation itself depended on faithfulness
to God and to the biblical principles. He
reminded audiences that, “Freedom is
not man’s idea, it is God’s idea. And if we
forget that, we will lose both.”

Kingdom too, where he defended Israel
and proclaimed his Christian faith at both
Cambridge and Oxford universities. At

these forums, which are often dominated
by hostility toward biblical values, Charlie
stood undaunted, challenging anti-Israel
students and academics alike to look at
the evidence we see before our eyes in
relation to the Israel-Gaza conflict and the
timeless truth of Scripture. His defence
of Israel as the ancestral and eternal
homeland of the Jewish people was met
with fierce opposition but he never
wavered.
Sadly, there are some who are trying
to distort Charlie’s legacy. Voices that are
trying to drive a wedge between Christians
and Israel. They will not succeed.
The Turning Point official YouTube
channels are littered with pro-Israel videos
titled, “Charlie Kirk demolishes anti-Israel
activist” and “Charlie Kirk takes down
anti-Israel student”, among other things;
So why don’t we just listen to what Charlie
Kirk himself had to say about Israel?
In a recent video, when Charlie is
taking questions from the audience, he
is accused of spending “half his speech”
talking about Israel. The student, who is an
anti-Israel Christian, then reads out Charlie
Kirk’s own words where Charlie said: “A
Christian that’s not pro-Israel, I doubt they
actually love their Bible, and I will stand
