miraculously, against all odds, won back the territory that had been stolen from it in 1948.
The Palestinian Rejection of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem
In 1964, two years before Israel regained control of its territories, the Palestinian Liberation Organisation was formed with a Charter of its own.
Article 24 of the PLO’s founding document states, “This Organization does not exercise any regional sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the Gaza Strip or the Himmah Area. Its activities will be on the national popular level in the liberational [militant], organizational, political and financial fields.”
You would think this document is fake as you literally could not make it up. However, it is very real. The Palestinians rejected the very area they are now claiming to be their “historic homeland” They even rejected ownership of East Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque under Jordanian control at the time. Not surprisingly, in 1968, the PLO updated its charter.
The truth is that when the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) and Gaza were illegally occupied by Arabs, the Palestinians had no problem with this. Instead their focus was on Israel, Zionism and Jews, which they claimed had no religious or historic claims to the land.
They only had a problem with Jews living in the land of Israel. Their movement was anti- Semitic in nature from the outset and remains so to this day.
God is still on His throne
As stated before, the Jewish people were given the Land of Israel by God Almighty. He declared it in His Word, and he ensured that
even according to the laws of man, there is no disputing the authority that the Jewish people have over their ancestral homeland.
Today, many people are claiming that Israel’s expected plan to declare its sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria is “illegal under international law”. Many have been deceived by this lie because it has been repeated so many times without being challenged.
Sadly, even the British government today
is peddling this falsehood. The nation that helped ensure Jews had legal jurisdiction over their homeland and fulfil the promises of God’s Word is now blinded by the lies of those who hate God’s people.
In June, Prime Minister Boris Johnson himself said, “the UK will not recognise any changes to the 1967 lines” and called the plans for Israel to declare sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria a “violation of international law.”
If the UK Government gives more credit
to 1967 lines (which were ceasefire lines based on Jordan’s illegal occupation that breached international law) than it does to Israel’s legally established ownership of the land, it shows the UK is very far away from where it needs to be.
Whether you are looking at this from the perspective of the Bible or according to international law, the ownership rights to the Land of Israel lay firmly in the hands of the Jewish people and UK Foreign Policy must change to align itself with the truth.
The Palestinians have no legal basis to acquire sovereignty in any part of the land unless Israel gives land to them, and this
will only happen with direct negotiations.
The United Nations has no legal authority to divide up the land of Israel. And Britain has no authority to dictate the borders of another sovereign state. Every part of Israel, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea belongs to the Jews. God ensured that.
`In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
