th nnal ie to ememer honor fallen officer
On July 29, hundreds of motorcyclists gathered at the former Area Four Detective Headquarters to kick off the 14th Annual Ride to Remember. On a beautiful sunny Sunday morning, riders made their way to Lake Shore Drive and finished at the Chicago Police Gold Star Families Memorial Park. Once there, riders and others gathered for a ceremony honoring the city’s 580 officers who have been lost in the line of duty.
Attendees wrapped up the event by heading to the Teamsters Lo- cal 75 lodge for a post-ride celebration with food and music. Money raised through the ride went to support the Chicago Police Memo- rial Foundation. d
