Tax Time!
Active members paid $546 in union dues that can be claimed on your 2016 income tax return.
In accordance with IRS guidelines, the Lodge is required to furnish to each dues-paying member the portion of Lodge expenditures during the previous year which was represented as lobbying costs, since this amount would not be consid- ered tax-deductible.
The lobbying costs represented about 2.1 percent of the total expenditures of the Lodge.
Use this notice when you have your taxes done.
