A letter of praise
The bonds of love and devotion transcends unions and all organizational structures, however, I am glad that you and this union exists.
Some of the finest people that I have ever known have been, or are, police officers. I would like to see more po- lice officers visit kindergarten, and let the little kids see and interact with them. My first experience as a young child set the stage for my undying respect for those that serve. We had a program where the officers would come into the kindergarten to talk to us. The teacher allowed us to walk up and shake hands with this gigantic Irish cop who seemed larger than life to us. I recall thinking, “This is a real human being.” This simple experience dwarfed my admiration for my childhood cowboy heroes - Tom Mix, Roy Rogers, Hopalong, etc. d
