Santa and his elves make their rounds through 019
Officers in the 19th District dressed as elves to help Santa Claus deliver toys to children through the night on Dec. 7. The elves stopped at Lakeside Square Apartments, the Sylvia Cen- ter, the Hannah House by Cornerstone Community Outreach, Mary Crane Center West Lakeview, St. Mary of the Lake Catho- lic School, Horace Greeley Public School and Harry S. Truman College.

Team lends hand to
Toys for Tots
With the goal of making Christmas dreams comes true for Chicago’s less fortunate children, Community Safety Unit of- ficers partnered with U.S. Marines. The officers picked up an abundance of toys that had been dropped off at district head- quarters across the city as part of the Toys for Tots program.
Officers in 014 celebrate another successful Shop With a Cop
Officers in the 14th District brought Mr. and Mrs. Claus to distribute presents from their annual Shop With a Cop event on Dec. 18. Santa helped officers give holiday-wrapped gifts, sponsored by Target, to children and their families at the Ar- mitage Baptist Church.

holiday surprise to
20th District officers
Kids from St. Ephrem Chaldean Church stopped by the 20th District to deliver a surprise of coffee and gifts to officers just a few days before Christmas. Perhaps most special were the two handmade posters created by the kids that wished of- ficers a Merry Christmas, thanked them for their service and included several personal messages to their police heroes.
