56 CHICAGO LODGE 7 ■ MAY 2017
The Wide World of (CPD) Sports
After taking their hits from firefighters during the re- cent Battle of the Badges boxing event, Chicago Police Officers got a measure of revenge on the ice. They also prepared for a June gridiron battle with potential play- off implications for the CPD Enforcers. d
The CPD Enforcers improved their sea- son record to 2-1 after knocking o the Cen- tral Texas Wolfpack in the Gold Star Memo- rial Bowl on May 6. The 24-13 win helped the Enforcers rebound from a road loss in Los Angeles in April. It also keeps CPD in the run- ning for a shot at the National Public Safety Football League’s Di- vision I championship game. Before the En-
forcers can think about the postseason, they’ll have to contend with the CFD Blaze on June 4 at Brother Rice High School in First Responders Bowl VI.
