On July 4, 2018, Officers Patrick Bunyon and John Pilolli were working 1562A and approaching an armed offender when the offender saw the uniformed officers and fired at them, in an attempt to kill the officers. Officer Bunyon returned fire, but the offender was able to escape. The of- fender was subsequently apprehended and charged with
attempted murder.
It is with great appreciation that the Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge #7 presents Officers Patrick Bunyon and John Pilolli with the Distinguished Service Award.
