 Moving the open house from physical to virtual
No one could have predicted recent events and the impact they have had on all of us. We know that these events have strained and tested each and every one of us, but we also know that the men and women in blue are resilient and strong. We have had many people ask how
COVID-19 and other recent events have im- pacted the real estate market and the way
the real estate business normally operates. Summer is typically a busy real estate season, and many signs show that the market is still very

We also received an offer on a listing after a virtu- al open house from one of the parties who attended the Facebook Live event, so this method does work. On a good day, a normal open house might see a dozen or so folks walk through, so virtual open houses can’t be beat when it comes to
having as many potential buyers as possible view your home. This new method of showcasing homes is something The Van- na Group will routinely use moving forward. The governor’s executive order prohibited agents from hold- ing traditional open houses when selling a home through May 29. Open houses are a long-standing tradition in the real estate industry, so when this staple in home selling was no longer an op- tion, we had to pivot and pivot fast.
