On Sept. 4, 2020, Officer Kylee McMahon and her partner responded to a person shot at 500 S. Clinton St. While en route, the officers were flagged down near the Greyhound Bus station by a frantic cab driver. The cab driver directed the of- ficers to his backseat passenger, who was bleeding profusely.
The victim had suffered a gunshot wound to his upper right leg. Officer McMahon utilized her training and applied pres- sure and a tourniquet to stop the arterial bleeding, while her partner requested EMS and gave a flash over the zone. EMS
