    56 CHICAGO LODGE 7 ■ NOVEMBER 2018
Cops in the Community Gallery
Honor, recognition and respect were among the themes on display as the calendar turned from Sep- tember to October in Chicago. The community paid tribute to police in a solemn setting, while officers stepped up to show how much they value their fellow officers and the people in the neighborhood. No matter the moment, it was clear how much Chicago officers are connected to those they serve.
In late September, the Commander Paul Bauer Horse was unveiled on Michigan Avenue to honor Bauer, who died in February while trying to appre- hend an armed suspect in broad day- light downtown.
