branches of the forest. His clear song is as bright and cheerful as his feathers. A bird’s song reminds me that the Christmas season is a time of celebration for all of nature!
I chose this color palette as I wanted a soft, subtle version of the traditional red and green Christmas colors. White chalk- ing and lettering hint at a dusting of snow and help brighten the design.
PREPARATION
Sand the wood banner. Remove sanding dust with a soft cloth. Seal with DecoArt Americana Multi-Purpose Sealer. Dry. Lightly sand and remove the sanding dust. Use the 2" taklon brush to paint the flat portion of the plaque with Light Avocado+Slate Grey+Teal Green (3:2:tch). Use the 3⁄4" flat wash brush to paint the routed trim with Heritage Brick. Allow to dry. Apply additional coats as needed for opaque coverage.
