ENGLISH ROSE: Dark areas are deepened with Lamp Black+English Rose Shade Mix. Light area may be strengthened with Transparent White+English Rose Highlight Mix. Shade the center of the flower with a dark crescent shape on the lower left side by using Lamp Black+ English Rose Shade Mix. Highlight with Cad- mium Yellow Pale in the upper right. HELLEBORE: Dark areas are deepened with Lamp Black+Hellebore Shade Mix. Light ar- eas may be strengthened with Transparent White+Hellebore Highlight Mix. Place dots with Lamp Black+Hellebore Shade Mix. Cre- ate flower core by using Hellebore Shade Mix, Yellow Ochre, and Cadmium Yellow Pale. BLUEBERRY: Dark areas are deepened with Lamp Black+Blueberry Shade Mix. Light ar- eas may be strengthened with Transparent White+Blueberry Highlight Mix. HYDRANGEA: Apply a thinned coat of Helle- bore Shade Mix overall. Dark areas are deepened with Lamp Black+Blueberry Shade Mix. Make petals with English Rose Base Mix in some places. STROKE ROSE: Refer to Stroke Rose Step- by-Steps on page 69.
LEAF: Dark areas are deepened with Lamp Black+Leaf Shade Mix. Light areas may be strengthened with Transparent White+ Leaf Highlight Mix.
BRANCH: Dark areas are deepened with Lamp Black+English Rose Shade Mix. Light areas may be strengthened with Yellow Ochre+Naples Yellow Light.
BUDS: Dark areas are deepened with Helle- bore Shade Mix. Light areas may be strength- ened with Naples Yellow Light.
ACCENT: Refer to Color Placement Map 2 on page 68.
FINISHING
After all paint is dry, you may apply your pre- ferred varnish.
