2015 JuRIED ART ExHIBITIOn
The SDP Foundation is proud to announce our third annual Juried Art Exhibition. We invite all decorative painters from around the world to enter their art for consideration in the exhibition.
ELIGIBILITY
Artwork must have been completed after June 1, 2013 to qualify, and must be painted by the entrant. Artwork may be of original design or painted from an existing pattern. If you are uncertain about your work, feel free to contact Becky Gray, Conference Director, for assistance, including finding contact information for the original designer. Each artist may submit a max- imum of seven works (one entry per subject category). All mediums—oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, and mixed-media—are welcome.
DIvISIOnS
Entrants will be judged in two divisions. Judging will be within the division.
nOn-PROFESSIOnAL: Defined as one who paints purely for enjoyment, does not teach or sell artwork professionally, is not a TDA, CDA, or MDA, and is not published or certified in any particular style.
PROFESSIOnAL: Defined as one who teaches, sells, or is published in the art field, or a person who is certified in a particular style. This includes MDAs, CDAs, and TDAs.
CATEGORIES
Work will be judged in subject-specific categories. Each division has seven categories:
• Folk Art/Strokework • Floral
• Still Life
• Landscape
• Animal
• People/Portrait • Original Design

JuRYInG PROCESS
Artists shall be juried on the basis of overall effect, handling of the medium, and quality of work.
A panel of three jurors who are experts in the art field will judge all entrants and choose the semifinalists. This round of judging will be based on entry forms
and photographs.
Semifinalists will be asked to submit their art for exhibition. The semifinalist group will be judged for final prizes by three art experts.
ExHIBITIOn TImELInE
Deadline for submissions: postmarked no later than midnight, January 16, 2015
Preliminary judging: February 2015 Notification of semifinalist selections:
Monday, March 16, 2015
Installation: Monday, May 11, 2015 Exhibition: May 14–16, 2015 De-Installation: May 16, 2015 (2 p.m., CDT)
EnTRY FEES
All decorative painters are welcome.
SDP members: $10 per entry (nonrefundable) All others: $25 per entry (nonrefundable)
