Sally Doak, charter member of Delmarva Decorative Artists in Rehoboth Beach, Del., passed away March 10, 2013. She was very active in the chapter’s formation and remained active throughout her years in Delaware.
Sally was born on January 3, 1940, in the small town of Paulsboro, N.J. She lived there until she and her husband, Bill, retired to Millsboro, Del. Sally was very active in her church and the Millsboro Art League. She taught painting classes at the Art
League and in her home. Many of DDA’s members got their painting start with her.
Sally also taught at chapter meetings and held several offices in the chapter. She was instrumental in starting
the chapter’s Wounded Warrior Bag program, and she continued running the chapter’s website until she passed. Sally was a good friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. —Submitted by Delmarva Decorative Artists
