Dear my fellow SDP members,
As they say, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. The decorative painter’s holiday season is already in full swing. October was International Decorative Painting Month. November has arrived, and we can’t wait to unpack our favorite holiday pieces and take on new projects to decorate.
As members of SDP, you have even more events to look forward to over the next two months. The Conference Special for our annual convention next June will be available online later this
month. Registration will open on Tuesday, December 8. Whether you love acrylics or oils, or colored pencils or mixed media, you will find classes that will pique your interests, stimulate your curiosity, and amplify your excitement for convention in San Diego. Start talking to your chapters and friends, and planning your Artful Journey!
Now is also the time to renew your 2016 membership. You will find
an invoice included with this issue of the magazine if you have not yet renewed. Submit your dues payment by December 1 to avoid a $5 late fee and to guarantee receiving a print copy of the 2016 The Decorative Painter Issue #1 in February.
So, what can you expect to see inside these pages? Some grazing zebras, a “HOOT” of birds, red hydrangeas, and a “Sudden Storm”...
