LET’S PAINT
The instructions give a number for the color used. Re- fer to the list of powders or paints. Number the powders or paints on your palette paper for ease of use.
MAIN FRONT AND
SIDES OF CABINET
MOUNTAINS: Wet the mountain area with clean varnish. With a sideload of No. 3, the strongest color is along the trac- ing lines of the mountains. Fade the color down the moun- tains to the ground line. After this is dry, glaze the tops of the mountains with a sheer float of No. 6.
WATER: The horizon line is a fine line of No. 1. Add detail lines coming from the shore, around any posts in the water, and under the boat with fine lines of No. 1. Washes in the water are with a very sheer wash of No. 1.
GROUND: Wet the ground area with DecoArt DuraClear Satin Varnish. With a sideload of No. 4, the strongest color is along the tracing lines under the mountains and along the shore, working the color roughly into the varnish. This can be streaky to denote ground.
RAISED GROUND: Paint the entire raised ground with a mix of No. 3+No. 4 (1:1). This should be a solid coverage.
