HAT
Using no. 4 petal brush, apply a basecoat to the hat with Black, highlighting it with Slate Grey. Tap in the snow with Titanium White.
TREE
Using the no. 4 petal brush and Hauser Dark Green, Festive Green and Citron Green, start at the bottom of the boughs and work your way upward with dark values below lighter values. Use the same brush to pick up the greens, no mixing of colors needed. Tap on a little Titanium White to make snowwhendry.
The ornaments are added with the end of the brush handle and Tuscan Red. Add a highlight dot of Titanium White on each orna- ment. Let dry; tint the tree randomly with Lavender.
TREE BOUGHS AND ORNAMENTS
Using the nos. 4 and 8 petal brushes, paint the tree boughs. Begin with Hauser Dark Green; add Festive Green; finally, add Citron Green. Tap on Titanium White to make snowwhendry.
Each ornament has an Antique Gold hook. Two of the ornaments are based in True Blue; while wet, tap on Dioxazine Purple. Quickly add Titanium White on each ornament. The red ornament is painted with Tuscan Red, shaded with Black, and highlighted with Tuscan Red+tch Titanium White.
BASE (optional)
If you choose to place the glass block on the base, the entire base is painted with Primary Red. Add Titanium White snowflakes onto the base as well as glitter paint. If you are not using the base, simply insert mini lights into the block for lighting. The wooden base has a nightlight inserted into it to provide the lighting for the nightlight.
FINISHING
Using the no. 8 petal brush and the glitter paint, paint the snow globe glass area. Use the end of the brush handle with Titanium White to make the large snowflake dots on the globe. Flyspeck the whole block with Titanium White. Bake the block in the oven ac- cording to the manufacturer’s instructions or use a blow dryer to heat set the design. Glue the greenery on the top of the light.
