LET’S PAINT BACKGROUND
Using a dampened sponge painter loaded with Cof- fee Latte and a touch of Wicker White, apply the basecoat, sponging from side to side. Let dry.
Refer to the pattern which shows an upper shelf line which will be the top edge of the shelf. Load Medium Gray on one side of the sponge painter and press onto canvas edge approximately 1/3 from the bottom to start the line. Pull the sponge across lengthwise to form the shelf, leaving the Coffee Latte shade showing.
Using a paint scraper, pick up alternating Medium Gray, Wicker White, and Coffee Latte and scrape across the bottom third of canvas to give a textured shelf look. Let dry.
LAYING OUT THE DESIGN
Sketch or transfer the pattern for pots on the shelf, keep- ing them close to the front of shelf.
