LET'S PAINT
Step 1: Dye your flowers and allow to fully dry. I like to use a combination of dip dying as well as airbrushing the flowers. I place them into old empty egg cartons to dry overnight.
Alternatively, you can place your dyed flowers in an oven on very low for a few mintues to speed up the process (only do the latter if using all natural and non-toxic paints such as UNICORN SPiT!)
Step 2: Dye your board. Score them and pencil in the design. Use White Ning UNICORN SPiT to dye the entire board, then come back with the Zia Teal UNICORN SPiT and just paint in the mason jar using a brush.
A brush helps with precision. Since we are using UNICORN SPiT as a stain go back and wipe away the excess, so that the wood grane will show.
Once your stain is fully dry, you can choose to hit it iwth some spray lacquer to seal it. If your board will be indoors with minimal traffic there is no need to seal.
Step 3: Begin hammering your nails into the pre-scored board. Leave about 3/4 of the tops of the nails exposed.
Pro tip: It helps if you begin on the inside and then go out.
