In 1971, the Bayview Foundation developed 102 townhouses to help prevent displacement of the poor caused by gentrification. From the beginning and still today, Bayview serves people eligible for federal housing subsidies. For its many immigrants and refugees, Bayview became a place to grow roots and connect to community.
