f you are a native of Oconee County, you know the Hale family—all 46 of them.
“We have a running joke in the family that if you were born and raised here, we are kin to you somehow,” said Sarah Beth Andrews, daughter of Oconee County Sheriff James Hale. “I was blessed to have a village of my own family to be born into, and it is such a blessing to have so many people to look up to.”
Sarah Beth has lived in Oconee County for 25 years, leaving only to attend the University of Mississippi. Despite going to college to become a teacher, God had a different plan for Sarah
