In the classroom, the sisters go their separate ways most of the time. Still, the senior said she sees her younger sister more than anyone in her life. They are able to hold one another accountable in school and sports.
“I’m sleeping in, and Lily comes and wakes me up,” Caroline Branch said. “Sports wise, accountability partner, for sure, to keep you in line and someone you can depend on to be there for you.”
While their softball dreams are over, the sisters will meet together on the track in January for a second shot at a championship run together.
They both plan on competing in the long jump and 4 x 100- meter. The senior will add triple jump and the 100-meter, while the freshman will add the 100-meter hurdles.
Even though only a couple months remain in the school year until the Branch tradition is over, the sisters trust their relationship will only continue to build and get better.
“I got to experience what Lily's experiencing this year. So I know what she's going through also having an older sister who was a senior,” Caroline Branch said. “I know what she's going through. So I know how I can be there for her.”
Caroline finished softball season with the Titans making Class AAAA runners-up.
