we do
All the Oconee Fire Rescue volunteers meet every Thursday night in their respective stations. They train and encourage each other. Once a month, the EMTs and first responders meet for medical training.
This year, the difficulties posed by COVID-19 have necessitated some changes— fewer in-person meetings,
and no school assemblies, for example.
“We stopped meetings for a while,” said Peterson, “but we never stopped responding to calls. It’s what we do.”
