Just like athletes in training, Student Arts youth know that in order to win, they must practice a lot.
Jason says he is constantly in awe of the students’ depth of thought and how they express themselves. Stacie finds it rewarding to stay in touch with their alumni, whether encountering them at festivals or on social media.
“Seeing some of them choose a path of ministerial service and having many tell me how much this experience meant in their lives is rewarding beyond words,” she said. “I am honored to play a part in training the next generation,”
Lives of service
The group takes a mission trip each June, performing in churches, rehabilitation centers and juvenile detention facilities. “We are spreading hope,” said Stacie.
At one of the seven stops on this year’s trip, the group performed for a gathering of six, but the youth brought the same kind of energy they’d have if performing at a large auditorium.
