The only problem was Brock didn’t like pimento cheese. But Darrell kept encouraging him to taste it. Brock finally relented and it was, as they say, love at first bite.
Brock and Darrell spent the rest of 2020 and the first three months of 2021 perfecting the recipe, selecting packaging that would make their product stand out on store shelves, developing a mission statement, a business plan, a logo, and a name for the company. They settled on the name Satisfied Food Co., which was inspired by Brock’s favorite song by Van Morrison, “Satisfied”.
Along with a third partner who works behind the scenes helping shape and influence their plans, they decided right away on a few guiding principles. First, they wanted their focus to be on food, family, friends and fellowship.
“We love to break bread with good people,” said Brock. “It’s right there in our mission statement.”
The pimento cheese can be found at Stripling’s General Store and Farm 441.
