Andell Bobby McMath was born March 25, 1980, to Alice McMath and Anthony Petty in Miami, Florida. Andell departed this earthly life and went home to be with his lord and savior on February 23, 2020.
Due to premature birth, Andell was nurtured by his godparents, Ada Mae and Johnny McCray Sr., in his formative years. The McCrays were instrumental in laying a Christian foundation for Andell in his early years. Andell was often found singing in the church choir. Andell was raised in Ozark, Alabama by his mother and step-father (Andrew) before the family finally settled in
Enterprise, Alabama. After graduating from Enterprise High School, Andell joined the US Navy. After returning from the Navy, Andell often worked with his cousin, Andrell, remodeling houses. He also worked as tow-truck driver for Ideal Roadside. However, Andell’s passion was music. Andell enjoyed performing. He had the opportunity to travel and perform in front of adoring fans. Andell was many things to many people – a son, a father, a mentor, a brother, a cousin, a friend, and a confidante but most of all Andell was loved. Andell’s family is comforted by knowing that before leaving this earth, he dedicated his life to Christ and accepted him as his personal savior. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving mother, Alice Moore (Ozark, AL); father Anthony Petty (Miami, FL); children Alexis Langhammer, Andell McMath Jr., Andaija McMath, Kendell McMath, Arielle McMath, Amalachi Theiriult, Avion Johnson, and Chris Bandy; a devoted fiancée Carmen Cruz (Ozark, AL); brothers: Terrell McMath (Dothan, AL) Anthony Petty Jr. (Miami, FL) sister: Antonese Petty (Miami, FL); godmother, Ada Mae McCray (Texasville, AL) and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Today my faith in God got stronger than ever before because the devil is really busy, but Satan is just going to have to get behind me cause my body is a vessel for the Lord. The devil might get this old body but my God he's got something better in store for me, Amen. These trials and tribulations that I am going through is just an obstacle in my journey for the Lord, to get my name in the Lamb Book of Life. So, I had to realize that this is just a chapter in the book of my testimony. I should have been dead at birth 2 pounds 14 ounces barely developed, but he pulled me through, ain't God alright? Hey, family, I love all y'all - Andell Bobby McMath
