various connotations, for example, you’ll find notions of danger, power, courage, and love. And every single shade of red — from scarlet to cerise — exists to stimulate us: to stir us into action, encourage us to take risks, and to wear our own crimson hearts on our sleeves. It’s fitting, then, that the house of FERRAGAMO’s latest fragrance for men is FERRAGAMO Red Leather, a parfum that infuses each of this colour’s disparate, distinct associations into one striking scent.
Leather, too, of course, is also known by its tough-stuff, long-last- ing reputation. So, by combining its raw, earthy scent with such a cardinal colour, Red Leather offers perhaps the perfect essence of modern masculinity. This is a fragrance spritzed by go-getters and pacesetters, men unafraid of being labelled sensitive-yet-strong, and whose unswerving ambition and drive exhibits the very best of the bold colour’s overtones. Its wearers are dominant, confident, and vivacious — much like Salvatore Ferragamo himself.

world, honed his self-expressive style, and created shoes that ranged from simple sandals to cowboy boots out of fine leather.
That rugged, tanned textile is the cornerstone of the house of FERRAGAMO’s most celebrated recent parfum releases. In Red Leather, the warm tone marries its sturdy, musky manliness with flourishes of citrus and soft florals. But it’s the additional notes, expertly blended, that give this fragrance its edge. The parfum’s base brims with sandalwood and complex vetiver, while a heart of rosemary and jasmine is a nod to the colour red’s more sensual, soul-stirring associations. Top notes zing from piquant ginger to the zest of both mandarin and bergamot oranges — these fruits being the mainstays of FERRAGAMO’s Leather fragrance line, which also includes Intense Leather, Spicy Leather, and Bright Leather.
Each of these Leather expressions is decanted into the same signature bottle, or “flacon,” which honours the heritage of the house by incorporating “Gancini” detailing into its design — an equestrian hook motif, inspired by the intricate gates of FERRAGAMO’s Palazzo Spini Feroni in Florence. Yet, once again, Red Leather has elevated this established look, enlivening the slender bottle — with its contrast lettering and silver-finished metal cap — with the range’s most colourful design yet. In the richest, most arresting shade of red, FERRAGAMO’s latest fragrance not only stands out, but stands for dominance, performance, and passion.
