Christiane Schwambach’s design philosophy is deeply informed by her East German upbringing, a period that taught her the importance
of resourcefulness. Now, the Hamburg-based designer
crafts creations that invite
an active dialogue with our surroundings. Her glass bag collection, entitled “Fragment,” draws inspiration from naive paintings and the beauty of mother nature. Each design
in the collection is one-of-one, thoughtfully comprised of vintage and recycled materials, expressing Schwambach’s commitment to sustainability.

Mexico City–born and New York City–based
artist María Fragoso Jara
is influenced by Mexican surrealist art and murals. Fragoso’s crimson-hued, voyeuristic paintings explore intimacy, queer identity, and often include figures with a strong gaze. Her evocative work was showcased in her second solo exhibition in fall 2023 at 1969 Gallery and featured a mix of her paintings, works on paper, and a sculpture.
