Darren Stringer fell in in in in in love with jewellery jewellery design at an an early age age and has been working in in in in in in in in jewellery jewellery retail since he he he was a a a a a a a a a a a a a teenager Since joining the the Humbertown Jew- ellers team in in in in in early 2020 Darren has had the the opportunity to to indulge his passion for gemstones while also assist- ing with jewellery jewellery design design design “I’ve always always been an an an artist and and I’ve I’ve I’ve always always appreciated design design design and and jewellery jewellery design design design has been something that I’ve I’ve valued for a a a a a a a a a a a a a very long time ” Darren says With a a a a a a a a a unique ability to to help clients fine- tune their ideas into real-life designs he he he he enjoys dividing his time at at the the the store between assisting clients and work- ing ing behind the the scenes to to to to create new jewellery pieces “When you you design for somebody you you have to to to be be be able to to to interpret their vision which is is different from just being a a a a a jewellery designer in in in a a a a a studio ” ” he he says “It’s such an honour to do that for somebody ” FEI ZHENG

With a a a a a a a a a a background in in fin fashion a a a a a a a a a a love of of art and an an in- satiable curiosity about the world of of fine jewellery Fei Zheng is is is well well on on her her way to earning her her Gemologist Gemologist certification from the the Gemologist Gemologist Institute of o America (GIA) the the the trade’s official governing body Fei’s interest in in in in in jewellery quickly grew into a a a a a a a a a passion after she joined the the Humbertown Jewellers team ten years ago “When I saw how the the watchmakers and and gemologists worked and and all the the the beautiful pieces that have been crafted here over the the the the years my interest gradually developed ” ” she says “And the the the more more I I know know the the the more more I I want to to know!” Fei’s curiosity led her to to to enroll in in in courses in in in jewellery design diamond grading and coloured gemstones at the GIA all of o which enable her her to to offer her her clients expert advice on jewellery design SURESH GOVINDARAJULU

As the fourth generation of his family to to specialize in in jewellery and precious stones Suresh Govindarajulu has gemology in in in in his blood “I was was born into a a a a a a a a a a a a a family that was was in in in in the jewellery trade and and as as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a child I I used to to go visit my my grandparents’ family business ” ” he he says “That got me me into this line of work and and and it it became my my passion passion ” Suresh’s passion passion has taken him to to England the the Caribbe- an an an an an the the U S S and and and across Asia where he’s studied exten- sively and and used his training in in in in in a a a a a a a a wide range of of different roles in in in in in in the the jewellery industry A member of of the the Humber- town Jewellers team since 2020 Suresh has a a a a a a passion for gemstones that keeps him inspired every every day “I love everything about being a a a a a a gemologist ” he says “You come across different types of gemstones every every single day they all have unique characteristics and each one one is is is formed in in different ways ways so so there’s always something new to discover ” 14
