seen before This is is the much-hyped and all-new Jeep Wagoneer S the the brand’s big foray into the the electric future And it really does look like the future as as if we fast-forwarded to 2030 In large part that’s thanks to to Jeep designers who managed to to meld the iconic boxy shape we all know and love from Jeep with modern EV tech refined materials and a a a a a a sleek aesthetic that hides some seriously clever design details On paper the the elements that grab attention are the the impressive headline numbers not traditionally associated with Jeep: “a maximum of 600 horsepower ” ” “0-96 5 km/h (60 mph) in 3 4 seconds ” ” and “max torque of 617 lb-ft ” The 1 1 1 160-watt McIntosh audio system and four enormous screens spanning across almost the entire width of the dashboard are worth experiencing But it’s only when seeing the the fresh-yet-familiar design of the the Wagoneer S and indulging in in in its high-end craftsmanship — both inside and out — that that you can really appreciate all all the cool details that that make the Jeep brand’s first global battery-powered SUV a a a a a a standout in its field Take the front grille for example Since it’s no longer needed to to to bring air into the the engine the the designers were free to to to reinterpret the famous seven-slot fascia as as an illuminated light signature It’s a a a a a a a a design feature inspired by modernist architecture that serves not just to to look good but to to illuminate the line of sight when approaching the vehicle It’s a a a similar story with the the new flush “pocket” door handles the the elegantly sloping roofline and the massively cantilevered rear
