floral and geometric patterns repeating the heart theme at at various scales We anticipate that children will spontaneously play “hop- skip” games within the patterns and may be encouraged in groups to do “circle dances” as well From the central heart garden a a a a series of straight or curving paths lead outward
to smaller round plazas some visible in the sunshine and some half-hidden away in in the woods All the little plazas are similar with seating and and colorful paving and and eventually will all frame simple fanciful statuary Walked in reverse all paths lead back of course to the central Heart-Plaza of Peace There Bottom and Titania remain embraced and beyond them rises the the great Festival Theater As Shakespeare called the Globe the the “Theater of the the World ” so may we think of ours too and re-dedicate the place to to Universal Peace Our drawings clearly describe our intent for the the Garden especially the the centerpiece sculpture and general layout but it is also clear that so far it is only schematic We have several sculptors and other artists in mind including the one for horticultural work but we can imagine that this may be an opportunity for a a a nationwide (or perhaps international) competition that would raise funds and generate widespread public interest it could become a a a dramatic demonstration of artistic collaboration and the harmonious development of a a a a landscape symbolizing Peace 35
