David Je s joined OMG APAC in November 2016 to lead Marketing Sciences across the region, focussing
on Global Accounts. With more than 20 years of experience in data and analytics, he has a passion for deriving data lead insights to inform marketers on campaign effectiveness and identification of areas for improving ROI.
Prior to joining OMG, David spent over 5 years leading the Insights function at Yahoo, where he worked with the wider leadership team as well as sales and marketing functions in Asia Pacific to provide insights into how consumers are using the Internet in Asia. In this role,
he also worked closely with advertisers and their media decision-making teams through delivering quantitative insights into the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns.
David has spoken at a number of industry conferences on how internet consumption is changing in Asia’s emerging markets and the potential it holds for marketers. He was previously Head of the Research and Insights steering committee for IAB
in Singapore.
David is Director for Marketing Sciences for OMG APAC. He has been living in Singapore for more than 10 years.
Ben Grill is heading up Research for PHD Australia. In this role, he constantly advocates for “Finding A Better Way”
of understanding people, brands and media. He loves both qualitative and quantitative research - equally happy to snoop through a research participant’s kitchen pantry or sitting down to find the story in a data set.
Ben recently re-joined the Omnicom Media Group family as he was previously National Insights Director for OMD Australia - until 2012. For the past few years with OMG, he served as Audience & Insights Strategy Director for NewsLifeMedia (part of NewsCorp) and also ran his own consulting practice The Insights Grill.
If he was interviewing himself for a research study he would ask about his passions (Star Wars, property investing, tattoos), his fears (being struck by lightning), and his aspirations (moving to Byron Bay).
Ben is Director of Research for PHD Australia. He has been living in Sydney since 2009.
Deepa Menon has more than ten years’ experience in media and consumer insights, across four media intricate countries in Asia (India, China, Indonesia and Singapore). Her most recent stint in China has enabled her to gain a unique view on the challenges faced by marketers
in the increasingly complex media environment.
Currently based in Singapore, she works on GSK and manages the strategy for their global portfolio of Panadol Pain. The vast majority of her experience centres around managing businesses for large international FMCG accounts such as L’Oréal, Nestlé and SC Johnson.
Deepa is always seeking innovative solutions to everything she does and is passionate about transforming consumer motivations into recommendations that will support business strategies. When not assisting clients to adapt to the ever- changing media landscape, Deepa enjoys exploring places on her bike as well as trying new restaurants and cafés.
Deepa is Insights Director at PHD Singapore.
