Student Wellbeing
Wellbeing is a priority at Seaford and is the responsibility of everyone in the Seaford community –
staff, students, parents and our Seaford dogs! This term, we have moved forward with new ways to
enhance our wellbeing programme and pastoral support offering.
Peer Mentor Recruitment
As our 40 2024 Mentors look to leave the Peer
Mentor Programme, we held a Peer Mentor
Recruitment session for our new cohort. The No.46
Team, our Sixth Form Leaders and our current
Peer Mentor Leaders presented, then observed our
applicants while they undertook ‘scenario exercises’
and finally presented their findings to the group.
The difficult task of choosing our new 2025 Mentors
is now underway.
Thank you very much to the 2025 cohort – you
have left very big shoes to fill!
In the Prep School, we are looking to launch a Year 8
Peer Mentors as a pilot scheme – watch this space as
we recruit our first younger cohort.
Young Pastoral Leaders’ Event
We held our first Young Pastoral Leaders’
Networking Event this term, aimed at schools
sharing knowledge and best practice about their
own Peer Mentor Programmes. Ten schools from
three counties attended the conference, where
we saw a selection of Peer Mentors from each
school present to an audience, network with each
other and share experiences – a great display of
collaboration from all.
