Pilgrims Hotel
If you’re looking for somewhere with restaurant options then the Pilgrims Hotel is the place for you. As the only hotel in Canterbury city centre with two restaurants, the Pilgrims Hotel offers guests the option of an English cuisine restaurant or French Brasserie, so you’re bound to find something that takes your fancy.
Have a drink in the traditional low-beamed bar, which is stocked with local ales, before heading for your room to make the most of the comfortable facilities. Located opposite The Marlowe Theatre, Pilgrims Hotel is a great place to enjoy a night in the city after a show.
The House of Agnes
The House of Agnes is a hotel experience with a difference. Rooms are themed around great cities of the world, so you can experience a night in Paris, Boston, Marrakech or Shanghai without every leaving Canterbury. How many people can say that?
The quirky House of Agnes bed and breakfast has the largest walled garden in Canterbury, a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Within easy access of Canterbury West railway station, and just a short walk from the Cathedral, restaurants, bars, shops and the Marlowe Theatre, The House of Agnes is a perfect base to explore everything that the city has to offer. Book directly for the best rates, and enjoy on-going offers for regular bookings (perfect for when your parents come to stay).
The Arthouse B&B
Close to Canterbury West railway station, The Arthouse is a tall Victorian building that offers visitors to Canterbury a comfortable, trendy spot to rest after a busy day shopping or exploring the city’s attractions. Once the Victorian fire house, The Arthouse is now a quirky guesthouse with a living area, modern kitchen and comfortable bedrooms.
The living areas have TVs, DVD players and music centres, as well as a selection of board games and books for guests to enjoy. Head to The Arthouse during the summer months and enjoy a drink in the courtyard garden - a perfect and private escape from the bustle of the city.
