It has been a pleasure being your head of year and I am so increadibly proud of all you have achieved. You are a truly excellent group and it is amazing how far you have
come. I wish you all the best for the future. Remember to always back yourselves and take risks – you are capable of great things!
What a journey it has been getting to this point! I am so incredibly proud of you all. You have matured so quickly over these past six months as we headed into exam season. It became clear to me, very quickly, that you all genuinely want to do well, and show us your true potential. Well done to each and every one of you. It has been a great privilege working with you.
Ladies and gentlemen of the class of 2024, I am incredibly proud of all you have achieved at Seaford and hold each of you very fondly in my memories. It has been a privilege to work alongside you these last three years, and I look forward to seeing what next year brings for you. Don’t worry about the future; or do worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble-gum. The real troubles in your life are likely to be the things that have not yet crossed your mind. And importantly, at this crucial stage in your journey, don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I’ve met didn’t know at 16 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don’t. Whatever your plans for the future, keep happiness at the heart of everything you do. Be kind, be smart, and you will no doubt do something important. All the best with your future endeavours and let us know how you’re getting on down the line.
