Summary of Programme for Year 9:
Students follow the Edexcel course for GCSE Mathematics. The course follows a three-year scheme of work which covers units in Number, Algebra, Geometry and Statistics. The breadth of the course gives students a good grounding in mathematical concepts and fluency.
Does the Year 9 course include any elements of the GCSE?
The Year 9 course is the first year of a three-year scheme of work culminating in the GCSE examinations taken in Year 11.

Summary of Programme for Year 9:
Music encompasses a wealth of different topics in Year 9. These include genres and styles as interesting and diverse as: Brazilian Samba, Film Music, Minimalism and Pop Music. Core skills covered include Listening, Composing, Performing and use of Sibelius and GarageBand. Theory is covered alongside the practical elements of the course.
Does the Year 9 course include any elements of the GCSE?
We will touch on some aspects of the GCSE but will mainly be focusing on different topics/skills through the year.
