 The Unicorn Inn
The Unicorn Inn is a great little pub for a quiet drink or two. Built in 1593, The Unicorn Inn has a great range of beers on tap, many from local breweries and suppliers.
Make the most of the variety introduced by the ever changing ‘guest pump’ brews, and enjoy a pint or two from breweries such as Canterbury Ales, Whitstable Brewery and Pig & Porter.
In the summer enjoy the pub garden, widely regarded as one of the ‘best kept secrets’ in Canterbury, and something of a St Dunstan’s legend. We recommend their famous quiz on Sunday evenings, if you want to test your general knowledge.
Find them on Twitter at @unicorninn or on Instagram at The_Unicorn_Inn.
The Dolphin
When the sun decides to show its face then there’s nothing nicer than enjoying a cold drink in a beer garden.
With reviewers calling the garden ‘unquestionably the best beer garden in Canterbury’, The Dolphin is a popular spot to go during the warmer months of the year – it’s close to the cathedral, in Saint Radigunds Street.
The Pound
Fancy a contemporary new place to enjoy a few drinks? Try The Pound in Canterbury’s historic former gaol and police station at One Pound Lane. The Pound offers an amazing range of tasty drinks in an unbeatable setting.
With the perfect mix of cocktails and culture it has an impressive selection of wines, champagne, beer, ale, gin and premium spirits, but don’t miss out on the cocktails - they’re well worth a try.
The Pound doesn’t have a dress code - wear whatever it takes to have an amazing time. Entry is free every night.
