The Two Sides of Lockdown
Lockdown is a disaster.
No one can convince me that
The government has control of the situation.
I believe that
The UK’s elderly won’t live through the end of 2020.
I disagree with the people who wander round thinking
It’s bringing us together as a nation.
I firmly think that
This is the result of confinement within your own home.
My friends say
It will be alright in the end,
And
There are so many fun activities to do
Like gardening, cooking, writing, reading and playing music,
But I don’t take any interest in them.
People are moaning and groaning about the state of the economy, There is nothing for me to do about
Animals retaking their long-lost habitats.
I smile at
The people who are losing the plot.
How can I complain about
My waistline?
I finally start sorting out
My naïve friends.
Shying away from this opportunity,
Is how my friends describe it.
Terrible!
