GCSE Three-Dimensional Design
Three-Dimensional Design focusses on the creative art of working sculpturally making objects, real, functional and abstract.
Working in this subject area can involve model making, construction, surface treatment, assembling and modelling.
You will explore form and function through experimentation in a wide range of exciting materials. For example, using clay, wood, metal, plaster, plastic or perhaps working with found objects. Alongside this, to help inspire your work, you’ll learn about the nature and the history of Art and Design.
This course has been designed to encourage creative innovation and good communication.
We realise that the creative thinkers, those people who have the ability to come up with something new, the problem solvers, are increasingly recognised by industries and employers as the “go to’’ people to employ.
We help our students to learn how to look at something in a new way. Most importantly of all, you will be encouraged to express your ideas in a supportive and fun teaching environment.
