CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Luminous  ux
The total amount of light generated by a light source is given in Lumens [lm].
Luminous intensity
The luminous intensity is the luminous  ux per given angle speci ed, it is given in Candela (cd).
Color rendering index
The color rendering properties of a light source are described using the Ra Index (Color Rendering Index). The majority of SLV luminaries o er a CRI of 90 or higher.
Color of light
The color of light produced by a light source is given in Kelvin [K].
Standard LED
This is the classic version of an LED (3 mm or 5 mm LED). These were originally designed for indication purposes, e. g. in instrument panels.
Standard SMD LED
SMD stands for Surface Mounted Device. It is a compact LED without wire connectors, rather with direct soldering onto the PCB. SMDs are available in various sizes and are well suited for illumination purposes.
PowerLED
A PowerLED is a powerful LED with 1W or more power. It places increased demands on the current stability and therefore has to be used with constant current sources. If multiple LEDs are connected, they must therefore be connected in series. Connecting in parallel is not permitted. In addition, please pay attention to the installation sequence so that LEDs are not exposed to high currents for short periods of time as they could be damaged. In general, the following applies: First completely connect the secondary circuit (LEDs to the driver), then connect the primary circuit (driver to the power source).
Chip On Board LED (COB LED); Flat LEDs
This is an LED with an extremely  at shape. The advantage of COB LEDs is that they have good heat dissipation for technical implementation with cool surfaces, providing the possibility of high luminous e ciency with long service life.
Stainless steel 304
(1.4301) Has good corrosion resistance suited to natural environmental media (water, urban and rural atmospheres) without the presence of signi cant concentrations of chlorine and salt. 1.4301 is, however, not suitable for use in areas where there is contact with sea water or salt water or a salt-laden atmosphere, nor for use in swimming pools or similar environments.
Stainless steel 316
(1.4404) Has excellent corrosion resistance suited to natural environmental media (water, urban and rural atmospheres) as well as in industrial areas with moderate concentrations of chlorine and salt, in the food and pharmaceutical industries and in the agricultural food sector. 1.4404 is not sea water resistant.
