Basta Ya De La Represion Plaza de la Dignidad, Santiago
Macarena y Máximo no pueden viajar con alys para su residencia en Chicago debido
al malestar social en Chile. Utilizando el dinero del seguro del vuelo entre Santiago
y Chicago, un colectivo de artistas, del que Máximo forma parte, transforma 20.000 parches curita en obras de arte en miniatura, imprimiendo en ellas las palabras “Basta ya”, que llaman a la curación tras meses de violencia entre manifestantes y soldados/ policía en las calles de Chile. Una vez más, la ausencia y la imposibilidad forman el terreno para hacer cosas nuevas.

Enough Now of this Repression Dignity Plaza, Santiago
Macarena and Máximo are unable to travel with alys for their residency in Chicago due to the social unrest in Chile. Using insurance funding from the flight between Santiago and Chicago, a collective of artists, of which Máximo is a part, transform 20,000 band-aids into miniature art works, printing the words, “Enough Now” onto them, calling for healing after months of violence between protestors and soldiers/police on the streets of Chile. Again, absence and impossibility form the ground to make new things.
