2/ Mantener el silencio
No estamos seguros de cuál es el público en esta época de distanciamiento. Aquí, en Aotearoa Nueva Zelanda, no se nos permite compartir la misma habitación. El equipo de producción de h u m a t t e r i n g tiene una reunión ilegal cuando entramos desde el jardín de alys debido a la lluvia otoñal.
Estamos haciendo una obra de teatro de acceso directo a través de pantallas, por un vago deseo de conexión, para continuar.

No está claro si es legal que estemos trabajando en el estudio en este momento. Muchos espacios están abiertos y muchos más están cerrados. Las tiendas están abiertas. Las escuelas y universidades están cerradas. Nos instalamos en la Sala OFA pero no decimos a nadie lo que estamos haciendo. Para nosotros, la oportunidad de estar juntos, haciendo algo después de tres claustrofóbicos meses de estricto encierro es una especie de cordura. Una especie de mantenimiento de la vida.

2/ Keeping Quiet
We are not sure what audience is in this
time of distancing. Here in Aotearoa New Zealand, we are not allowed to be in the same room as each other. The h u m a t t e r i n g production team have one illegal meeting when we come inside from alys’s garden due to pouring Autumn rain.
We’re making a live theatre work to be accessed via screens, out of some vague desire for connecting, for continuing.
October-November 2021
Whether or not it is legal for us to be working in the studio at this time is unclear. Many spaces are open and many more are closed. Shops are open. Schools and universities
are closed. We set up in the OFA Hall but
we don’t tell anyone what we’re doing. For us, the opportunity to be together, making something after three claustrophobic months of hard lock-down is a kind of sanity. A kind of alive-keeping.
