Valve Spring Seat Cups and Locators
Comp Cams’ spring seat cups and locators
can withstand the extreme spring pressures
and high RPM generated by modern race engines. Hardened alloy seats protect the head and shim. They also locate and hold the spring in place. Sold in sets of 16.
Valve Spring Height Micrometers
Measure valve spring installed height easily and quickly. Accurate instrument fits in place of valve spring and can be expanded until the valve, spring, locks, and retainer are firmly seated.

Valve Guide Cutters, and Arbors
Handy tools help engine builders machine cyl- inder heads for larger-than-stock valve springs or PTFE valve seals. Arbor/pilots are available in three sizes and must be used with each cutting tool. Arbor/pilots will also work with valve guide cutters used for shortening the valve guide when installing a high-lift cam.

BB Chevy Valve Seat Spacer Kit
COM4779-8
Kit is designed to eliminate rotating
retainers located on the exhaust valves of late model big block Chevys. Eliminates the stacking of over .300" of shims under the valve spring. Spacers properly locate the spring in the seat and prevent it from “walking”.

manufactured from the highest
quality shim stock and are
heat treated to withstand the
punishment from modern race engines. Shims must be used to equalize the installed height of the valve spring when set- ting. Sold in sets of 16.
