                                 Standard and Lightweight Pro Race Steel Spools
Spools lock both axles together
so both wheels will turn at the
same speed. Pro Race spools are CNC-machined from forged steel,
then lightened and heat treated to keep rotational weight to a mini-
mum without sacrificing strength. Standard spools use the same quality materials and workmanship but are not lightened.

For both track and street use, these axle, spool, and C-clip eliminator packages are one of the best values for optimiz- ing the Mustang 8.8 rear end. Contents include (2) forged premium 1550 alloy 35-spline axles with (10) OEM-style
studs. The axles have been induction-hardened to increase torsional strength while remaining ductile. The majority of any required machining is performed before heat-treating to provide consistent hardness. (2) C-clip eliminators with billet aluminum inner and outer halves, Timken tapered-cut bear- ings, locking rings, oil seals, and grade 8 mounting studs and nuts. The final part of the package is a lightweight steel spool forged from premium 8620 steel. The spool is surface hardened to RC45-48 and lightened for maximize strength-to- weight ratio.

C-Clip Eliminators
Eliminates the factory
C-clip, providing a safety
hub with sealed, press-on bearings to prevent axle/
wheel assembly from
sliding out of the housing during an axle or differen-

axles with aftermarket performance units. Sold in pairs.
