When the track “slicks up”, simply flip the
retard switch and kill approximately 60 bottom
end horsepower, making the vehicle easier
to drive. The Pro Mag has wiring
for two pickups. One is in the
magneto, picking up its firing
point from the main magne-
to gear shaft, while the other
picks up from the crank trigger. Set the crank trigger at a higher timing degree than the magnet pickup, typically about four degrees, then wire in the retard switch.
